Alien Abductions Compared to Early Occult Beliefs

Demons, the early Church taught, come down from Heaven and have illicit sexual intercourse with sleeping women. St. Augustine believed witches were born of these forbidden unions. In his Bull of 1484, Pope Innocent VII pronounced:
"It has come to Our ears that members of both sexes do not avoid to have intercourse with evil angels, incubi, and succubi, and that by their sorceries, and by their incantations, charms, and conjurations, they suffocate, extinguish, and cause to perish the births of women," as well as being the cause of various other calamities. With this Bull, Innocent initiated the systematic accusation, torture and execution of thousands of "witches" all across Europe.
Two inquisitors appointed by Innocent stated:
"Devils...busy themselves by interfering with the process of normal copulation and conception, by obtaining human semen, and themselves transferring it." The children of these demonic sexual unions are likewise, when they grow up, visited by devils - although not all witches are created in this manner. And witches were known to fly though the air. There is no flying saucer, but most of the important elements of the classic alien abduction story are to found here in medieval occult belief.
In 1645, a teenage girl living in Cornwall was found groggy and collapsed on the floor. Later she told investigators that she remembered being attacked by little men, carried paralyzed to a castle in the air, seduced and returned home. She called the little men fairies. They returned later to torment the girl. In 1646 she was arrested for practicing witchcraft. At that time, fairies were believed to cause paralysis by the slightest touch. Normal passing of time also slows down in fairyland. Fairy people were reported to have sex with women and carry off the resulting babies from their cradles. If this young English girl, Anne Jeffries, had known about aliens rather than fairies - had it been flying saucers instead of castles in the air - could anyone tell her story from one of our modern alien abductee stories?
