Wirehead Skeptics
A press
of the button on the Spanish doctor's remote control device and
the angry bull is stopped dead in his tracks, no longer angry.
In the next millenium, advances in technology allow wireheads
to stimulate their pleasure centers without drilling holes in their
skulls and inserting wires. The pursuit is hedonistic, however,
not a quest for inner truth or psychic experiences.
